ParticipantKarma: 42Rank: PadawanAnother day wasted trying to get an IE2000 into Express Setup to access Device Manager. I get to the part where the Port 1 LED starts blinking and connect the Ethernet cable. After that it’s supposed to open a page on a browser but nothing happens. This is a switch that’s worked before. I’ve disabled anything I can find to no avail. I remember doing this easily a while back, now it just destroyed my week.

KeymasterWell let’s start with the basics…your NIC is set for Automatic DHCP? You should be getting an IP address on the 169.254.0 network. The switch should get 169.254.0.1 on VLAN1000 and your computer should get 169.254.0.2. If it’s not getting an IP try forcing one in statically and see if you can ping the switch at this address. Also, what is the setup LED doing? Check the the image attached to see if any of these conditions are applying.

ParticipantKarma: 42Rank: PadawanI got it to work just after posting, lol. Still weird it didn’t open a browser window, I’m working on a standalone that worked a few months ago. I was able to get the switch IP address, which it didn’t show up the first time I checked on the Network Connection Details. Should’ve kept on checking every time I was restarting the setup procedure.
