Rockwell’s official support is v11 for windows 10.
However, v9.05 installed fine on my PC. No go for v8.4.
If your PC has latest patches for Spectre-Metldown, RSLinx may stop working, if so uninstall KB4056892 to get it working again.
v8.4 is actually installed OK on windows 10, but I completely forgot how I got it working :=)
Yes, I’ve hesitated until recently to move to Win 10. I think now is a good time. I’ve installed version 11 and no issues as you mention it is verified compatible, as well as Studio, FactoryTalk Studio v9.0 and even RSLogix 5000 v20.04 all side by side and no issues so far. That said…I still have my Win 7 VM on standby just in case 😉
