One tip I’ve found is on windows 10 always right click then choose run as admin for the setup files when installing studio and studio components

I Found this in the Rockwell Knowledge base after looking over your install log files.

Maybe some of this will help.

Logix Designer Uninstaller: [Rockwell Automation CM Runtime v5.21.3799] INSTALL_WAS_ATTEMPTED:1

Environment

            • Windows 7
            • Windows 10
            • Studio 5000 v23 or later
            • FactoryTalk Activation Manager 4.00.02 or later

Cause

Software that was previously installed onto the system is preventing the installation of Studio 5000 from completing as necessary.

Note: whenever performing the installing of Rockwell Software, be sure to run the installation as an administrator by right-clicking on the Setup.exe file and selecting Run as administrator.

Solution 1

            1. Disable UAC as described in 54812 – Disabling UAC in Windows OS
            2. Make sure that you are logged in as administrator and have all admin privileges
            3. Run the Studio 5000 installation again

Solution 2

            1. Go to Start–>Control Panel–>Programs and Features or Start–>Control Panel–>Uninstall a program (depending on how View by is set) and uninstall Rockwell Automation CM Runtime and CodeMeter Runtime Kit
            2. Delete the CodeMeter folders if they still remain in C:\Program Files (or C:\Program Files (x86) for 64-bit operating systems) and C:\ProgramData
            3. Run the Studio 5000 installation again

Solution 3

            1. From Programs and Features uninstall FactoryTalk Activation Manager
            2. Run the Studio 5000 installation again

Solution 4

Verify that the CodeMeter Runtime Server Windows service is running and set it to Automatic startup.

Solution 5

            1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Software\FactoryTalk Activation\Tools
            2. Scroll all the way down and double-click on UpgradeProtectionOnlyLicense
            3. Start the installation again

Solution 6

Upgrade the CodeMeter Runtime Server to the highest available version that you can download from https://www.wibu.com/support/user/downloads-user-software.html.

Solution 7

            1. Uninstall CodeMeter Runtime Kit and FactoryTalk Activation Manager software
            2. Restart the computer
            3. Delete all CodeMeter folders (if they exist) from the following directories:
              C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\
              C:\Program Files (x86)\ (for 64-bit systems)
              C:\Program Files\ (for 32-bit systems)
              C:\Program Data\
            4. Download and install the newest version of the CodeMeter Runtime Kit as per article 1075154 – Downloading and installing the CodeMeter Runtime Kit
            5. Download and install a compatible version of FactoryTalk Activation Manager as per article 106060 – Installation process of FactoryTalk Activation Manager

Solution 8

The Studio 5000 installer was attempting to install RSLinx Enterprise 5.90 or lower while FactoryTalk Linx 6.0 or greater was previously installed. This is forcing the installer to error out and fail to complete the installation.

            • Verify that FactoryTalk Linx is installed by navigating to Control Panel->Programs and Features
            • Deselect RSLinx Enterprise from the installer

Thank you, Craig, for your reply. Actually, I tried on freshly installed OS, by disabling UAC & firewall then all went smooth. I’ll save your reply as it is useful.
